Calaniyot for Israel: A Ceramic Flower Making Project

10:30am – 12:30pm, $36 per person
Calaniyot (Anemones) are the first flowers to bloom in Israel, creating “red carpets” throughout the country. As a way of showing support for Israel and sharing hope for a better future, artists throughout Israel have begun making ceramic versions of this distinctive flower and “planting” them throughout the country. We are fortunate to have ceramic artist Ofrat Giladi-Sten joining us on January 16 to lead us in creating these flowers of hope. Each participant will create two flowers, one which will be displayed at Beth Chaim and one sent to Israel to join the thousands of flowers that are being created. The cost ($36 per person) will cover supplies AND a donation to help the people of Israel. Registration is limited with pre-registration required at Calaniyot for Israel - Event - Congregation Beth Chaim, through the Beth Chaim calendar or call the temple office.
